# WooCommerce

Cashback Tracker and WooCommerce do two different jobs, and the plugin joins them in three places. All three live under `Cashback Tracker` → `Settings` → `General` → **WooCommerce**.

**What this is not.** Cashback Tracker does not pay cashback on orders placed in your own WooCommerce store. Cashback comes from affiliate networks, on orders placed at the merchants you promote. WooCommerce here is a way of *presenting* those merchants, and a place your members already have an account.

### Members reach their cashback from My Account

**Link cashback from My Account** — on by default.

WooCommerce sends members to My Account when they log in. Without this, that page has no route to their balance at all, and most members will never look anywhere else.

The entry appears directly under **Dashboard**, above Orders, and is named after your account page — so if you called the page *My rewards*, that is what the menu says.

Opening it keeps them inside the My Account layout, sidebar and all, at `/my-account/cashback/`. Their balance, history, payout requests and referrals all work there exactly as they do on the account page itself.

Your account page also stays where it is and keeps working. Nothing is moved, and a site without WooCommerce is unaffected.

If the entry links to a page that shows nothing, one of its conditions is unmet: the account page must be set under `Settings` → `Member area`, the cashback ledger must be initialised, and the site must not be running in coupon-only mode. The entry hides itself in all three cases, so if you can see it and it is blank, check the ledger first.

### Turning product links into tracking links

**Convert product links** — off by default.

Some operators build their shop catalogue out of WooCommerce **external products** — a product page that describes the merchant and sends the visitor away to buy. Switch this on and every one of those outbound links becomes a tracking link, so the click is attributed to the member who made it.

It only touches products of the *External/Affiliate* type. Your own products, if you sell any, are left alone.

### Showing the rate on a product page

**Show cashback notice** — off by default.

Adds the member's cashback rate to the WooCommerce product page, under the price. Only useful alongside the setting above, since it is describing cashback on a link that has to be tracked to pay out.
