# Cuelinks

### What you need

Both are required.

The API key has to be asked for. If you have a Cuelinks account but no key, email them before you start — it is the one setup step here that depends on somebody replying to you.

### Setting it up

1. `Cashback Tracker` → `Networks`. Cuelinks is already in the list — press **Configure** on its row.
2. Paste the API key and Channel ID.
3. Tick **Enable network**.
4. Set **Default cashback**.
5. Save, then press **Refresh shops** on the row.

### What it imports

* **Shops** — campaigns available on your channel
* **Coupons** — offers and voucher codes
* **Orders** — transactions, on the schedule you set

### Cuelinks-specific settings

**Validated orders** — Cuelinks has its own validation vocabulary, and this setting decides what a validated transaction means on your site: pending, approved or declined.

Cuelinks documents what each of their validation parameters means, and the setting links straight to that page. Read it before changing this — the right answer depends on how your particular advertisers report, not on a general rule.

### The sub ID

Cuelinks calls it **subid**, and reports it back as the affiliate sub value. Cashback Tracker sends `cbtrkr-<member id>`.

### Tracking links

Cuelinks builds its links differently from most networks — it wraps the merchant URL rather than giving you a per-merchant deep link, using your Channel ID. That is handled for you; it is worth knowing only because a wrong Channel ID produces links that work but credit nothing.

### Getting orders sooner

**Do not set up a postback for Cuelinks.** It has a built-in module, and the plugin polls it over an authenticated API.

Adding a postback would mean creating a second, custom network — and the same purchase would then arrive twice, once from each. Both copies are stored, and **the member is credited twice**, at two different cashback rates.

To have sales show up faster, lower **Download new orders** in `Settings` → `General`. It goes down to every 15 minutes, and a short interval is cheap because it only asks for the last couple of days.

### When nothing imports

**Requests refused.** Cuelinks identifies you by a custom header carrying the API key. If the key was pasted with whitespace, or has been reissued, everything fails at once rather than partially.

**Links redirect but no orders arrive.** Check the Channel ID. A link built on the wrong channel still reaches the merchant, so it looks fine right up until nothing is ever reported.
