# Awin

### What you need

Both are required.

### Setting it up

1. `Cashback Tracker` → `Networks`. Awin is already in the list — press **Configure** on its row.
2. Paste the Publisher ID and Access Token.
3. Tick **Enable network**.
4. Set **Default cashback** — the share of Awin's commission your members receive.
5. Save, then press **Refresh shops** on the row.

Your approved Awin advertisers appear in `Cashback Tracker` → `Shop catalog` within a few minutes.

Awin only reports advertisers you are **approved** for. A brand you have applied to but not been accepted by will not appear, and that is Awin's answer rather than a fault here.

### What it imports

* **Shops** — every advertiser you are approved for, with logo, domain and commission
* **Coupons** — vouchers and offers, if coupon import is on
* **Orders** — sales, with their status, on the schedule you set

### The sub ID

Awin calls it **clickref**. Cashback Tracker sends `cbtrkr-<member id>` in it, and reads it back when Awin reports the sale.

If you also promote Awin links outside the plugin, those sales carry a different clickref — or none — and are ignored rather than credited to a random member.

### Getting orders sooner

**Do not set up a postback for Awin.** It has a built-in module, and the plugin polls it over an authenticated API.

Adding a postback would mean creating a second, custom network — and the same purchase would then arrive twice, once from each. Both copies are stored, and **the member is credited twice**, at two different cashback rates.

To have sales show up faster, lower **Download new orders** in `Settings` → `General`. It goes down to every 15 minutes, and a short interval is cheap because it only asks for the last couple of days.

### When nothing imports

**No shops after a refresh.** Check the Access Token first — it is the field that expires and the one most often pasted with a stray space. Then check you are actually approved for advertisers in Awin.

**Shops but no orders.** Normal at first: Awin reports sales hours after they happen. If it persists past a day with sales you know about, check that your test purchase was made through a **Go to shop** link while logged in.

**Orders with no member attached.** The clickref did not survive the journey. Usually the member was logged out, or reached the merchant by a route other than your tracking link.

Everything the network says is written to `Cashback Tracker` → `Logs`, including refusals with Awin's own wording. That is the first place to look.
